 ” is a show of recent paintings by Blake Edison. Inspired by the rhythmi
 c and lyrical qualities of soul music\, Edison creates colorful gestural a
 bstractions that hold complexity and radiate joy.&nbsp\; Seemingly both im
 provised and delicately considered\, each work is embedded with delightful
  surprises–opaque smudges of muted pastel satisfyingly harmonize with fl
 uorescent passages of acrylic paint\, as a density of marks unexpectedly d
 ances with wide open expanses of raw canvas.&nbsp\; Leaving each work unti
 tled\, Edison allows these visual poems to speak for themselves. The exhib
