DESCRIPTION:*Note: actual end time may vary.* \n Woolen Clouds by textile
artist Janice Arnold will float and flow through the central lobby of the
School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison\, trickling
into halls and stairwells like an icy breeze. This two-story immersive in
stallation with video elements will offer a surprising contrast to convent
ional perceptions of Felt. In conversation with the exhibition Feel The Be
at\, Woolen Clouds invites us to consider what Felt makes possible.\n\nURL

DESCRIPTION:*Note: actual end time may vary.* \n Momentary Fields consists
of photography from various places and various meaningful moments in our
lives. A field is a region of space in which a given effect exists\, such
as a magnetic field\, a gravitational field\, or a field of vision. To tak
e a photograph is to experience the effects of a particular field of visio
n and feel pulled and compelled to this experience by deliberately catchin
g a particular part of it and holding it still for a brief moment.\n\nCONT

tances–linen and glass–and invites visitors to experiment with many mo

DESCRIPTION:This exhibition highlights the work of world renowned artists a
nd early practitioners with Tandem Press\, Lynda Benglis and Sam Gilliam.
From the margins of the art world\, Benglis and Gilliam reconceived entire
ly the notion of painterly abstraction\, rejecting the conventions of ease
l painting in favor of letting the world back in. The works on display con
tinue the spirit of experimentation that is intrinsic to the work of these
  artists and Tandem Press.\n\nCONTACT: 263-3437\, info@tandempress.wisc.ed
