DESCRIPTION:Overview The Hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification 
 (Hybrid WFR-Recert)&nbsp\;course is a 2-day\, 24-hour course taught by   N
 OLS Wilderness Medicine   to recertify participants who currently hold a W
 ilderness First Responder Certification. The WFR-Recert course is designed
  to refresh your skills and knowledge in&nbsp\;making&nbsp\;critical medic
 al and evacuation decisions in remote locations. Pre-work allows you to re
 view the curriculum at your own pace\, and focus on the hands-on element d
 uring your two days on course. You'll just need to complete all online com
 ponents\, including a written exam\, prior to the course. You'll learn bot
 h in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather\, so come
  prepared for wet\, muddy\, cold or hot environments! Prerequisites You mu
 st currently hold a Wilderness First Responder Certification\, or be&nbsp\
 ;in your 1-year recertification period. You must be 16 years old to attend
  this course. Certification Participants are required to pass both written
  and practical examinations to obtain WFR and CPR certification. Successfu
 l course completion earns you a WMI Adult &amp\; Child CPR certification a
 nd a WMI Wilderness First Responder certification. EMTs will earn a Wilder
 ness EMT certification. All certifications are current for two years. Loca
 tion Primary classroom instruction will be held at: Mendota Lodge\, Lower 
 Level Memorial Union 800 Langdon St. Madison\, Wi 53706 We are not able to
  offer housing or camping for this course. There are hotels and hostels av
 ailable nearby. Food will not be provided\, but there are plenty of option
 s available for purchase &nbsp\; in the building &nbsp\; and at nearby loc
 ations to Memorial Union. There is a refrigerator and microwave to chill a

 vice for this course is handled by  NOLS Wilderness Medicine . *Hoofer Clu
