The WFRR course is designed to update and recertify your skills in making critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations. \; Hands-on\, meet online. Enjoy a new ly formatted Wilderness First Responder Recertification\, which includes a n online component in addition to the traditional scenarios and skills! Pr e-work allows you to review the curriculum at your own pace\, and focus on the hands-on element during your two days on course. You’ll just need t o complete all online components\, including a written exam\, prior to the course. You’ll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings rega rdless of weather\, so come prepared for wet\, muddy\, cold or hot environ ments! Hold a current Wilderness First Responder Certification or be in yo ur certification's grace period. You must be 16 years old to attend this c ourse. Certification Participants are required to pass both written and pr actical examinations to obtain WFR and CPR recertification. Successful cou rse completion earns you a WMI Adult &\; Child CPR certification and a WMI Wilderness First Responder certification. EMTs are eligible for 18 hou rs of continuing education (CEUs). All certifications are current for two years. Location Primary classroom will be held at Memorial Union in Madiso n\, WI-800 Langdon Street. We are not able to offer housing or camping for this course. There are hotels and hostels available nearby.
