DESCRIPTION:Wisconsin Union Theater. Pat Metheny 's versatility is nearly w
ithout peer on any instrument. Over the years\, he has performed with arti
sts as diverse as Steve Reich to Ornette Coleman to Herbie Hancock to Jim
Hall to Milton Nascimento to David Bowie. Metheny’s body of work include
s compositions for solo guitar\, small ensembles\, electric and acoustic i
nstruments\, large orchestras\, and ballet pieces and even the robotic ins
truments of his Orchestrion project\, while always sidestepping the limi
ts of any one genre. He continues to be one of the brightest stars of the
jazz community\, dedicating time to both his own projects and those of eme
rging artists and established veterans alike\, helping them to reach their
audience as well as realizing their own artistic visions.\n\nURL: https:/

DESCRIPTION:Wisconsin Union Theater. With some 29 GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY a
wards between them\, Chucho Valdés and Paquito D’Rivera are each a lege
nd in their own right. It’s easy to forget their humble beginnings in 19
60s Havana\, when none other than Dizzy Gillespie brought international at
tention to their innovative big band Irakere\, where both were founding me
mbers. After that\, the rest is history. Maintaining a 60-year friendship
but pulled in different directions and\, at times\, different countries by
fabled careers\, the two reunited for the 2022 album I Miss You Too and
launched their once-in-a-lifetime tour with the Chucho Valdés &amp\; Paq
uito D’Rivera Reunion Sextet. Don’t miss out on this concert event tha
t will be one for the history books. &nbsp\;\n\nCONTACT: performingarts@un
