DESCRIPTION:The Bridge and Build Community series from the Graduate School 
 aims to support graduate students from an array of life experiences and ba
 ckgrounds overcoming hardship and challenges in their educational opport
 unities. Open to all graduate students.. So much of academic work is text-
 based and uniplanar. Yet\, images and visualization offer a pathway of dis
 covery\, problem-solving\, and communication. At this mini-workshop featur
 ing UW-Madison’s DesignLab\, you will learn principles of graphic design
 \, and then create a visual that represents a research problem\, idea\, or
  concept of your choice. Through interactive activities\, you will present
  and refine your visual\, all the while connecting with other graduate stu
